EDUCATION & EMPLOYMENT
Education is a fundamental component of the ECOHAB process. We believe that learning the theoretical and practical methods of ECOHAB should be accessible and available to all people. We tailor our trainings to what is appropriate and needed in any specific place.
We invite people from around the world to join us in a collaborative educational experience focused on the needs and wants of the local population.
The approach is to cause a rethinking of the prevalent “linear model” of living and invite a more circular process where architecture incorporates waste and systems that are regenerative and sustainable for people and the planet.
This transfer of knowledge happens in the classroom and on the job site. We are open to all evolution of concept and approach toward a better model.
Typically we have a team leader on site for every 5-10 people. These leaders are experienced, patient and humble professionals who are focused on enabling others with information that will create resilient communities.
Employment is the absolute end goal.
Creating meaningful jobs for people in places where employment is scarce is truly the pursuit of the whole process.
The opportunity for local people to have reliable work and income while building structures that nurture the people and the place is what ECOHAB is all about.
